      Hi Ray

      thanks for the comment

The deck seems quite solid when fitted although the boat wants too roll in tight turns and at speed.I have found that the coming isn't deep enough as it is inclined too ship water. It also capable of rolling over very easily which could possibly make the superstructure detach from the hull

Ok for a lazy spin around the lake

If there is any danger of the top coming off perhaps a couple of pieces of foam or polystyrene glued to the insides in discrete locations will ensure it remains floating.

Have you thought of making it more secure with magnets?

I know it’s old tech, but an elastic band on a couple of hooks or whatever can be quite easy to arrange on something like this with loads of room.

A couple of my boats use his, as decent size magnets would have narrowed the access hatch. A bit of bet wire can be handy to hook bands up if needed, but shouldn’t be an issue with yours.

A couple of bits of foam good idea to keep the top floating ifall else fails!

            Hi All,

To be fair the kit is supplied with small circular magnets at the bow & stern which does work after a fashion, but not in heavy seas !!

I built the review model of the launch for them, which is common to the 3 superstructures available.

Foam buoyancy is a good idea, but not much space for it.

Need to know eh! Didn’t know it had magnets already although if these are the black dots fore and aft they don’t look man enough.

I have a roll of sticky backed, wide flat, closed cell foam sold for door and window seals. I stick a piece of it inside the tops of models that may be a concern such as the Club 500s.
