Bought SWMBO a new smart phone for Xmas (Nokia Lumia 520)….

First of all the new one has whats called a "micro" SIM which means of course the old SIM won't fit so back to the shop after Xmas and get the old SIM "snipped" down to size. Now the trouble starts… Managed to find the action to transfer all her old data onto the new phone. Needless to say the process didn't transfer anywhere near all the data… numbers misssing, no photos. And of course can't put the SIM back into the old phone because… yes it's too smallangry

Now need to open an account with Microsoft to finish setting up the phone. Can't remember what my Live ID password is so onto the laptop to try and recover that. Managed to lock myself out of my Microsoft account so now I can't get into Outlook. Tried going through a process to reset my password but needed some examples of emails previously sent with Outlook. Yeah you can see what's coming… Locked out of Outlook so now I'm waiting for a call from Microsoft support and hope they will take pity on me and allow me access to my account.angry

Wish I'd bought her some perfume!

You've certainly struck a cord with me! all this technology has gotten way to complicated! It's a phone for crying out loud ! I'd take the perfume any day!

            Hi Looverlijn

If you go to phone shop, you can get a carrier that you put the small sim in, which will fit in the old phone. I had the same xxxxxxx trouble. I hope this gets you out of the mire
