Maybe a Daft Question – Rx

I've got a Hitec Optic 5 Tx which is currently bound with a Hitec Minima Rx in my yacht.

I'm thinking about getting another yacht and ideally want to use the same transmitter. Can I bind it with the Rx in the second yacht and maintain the bind in the first yacht? I don't want to have to rebind each time I use each yacht as the Rx have been wrapped in plastic and I will be using both yachts some days but on separate occasions.

I don't have a problem with my powered models as I have a Hitec Flash 8 Tx for those which has a memory for many models.

It's OK to bind a second Minima Rx with the same Tx. What you can't do is bind any single receiver with more than one transmitter and expect either Tx to operate it.

The model memory function of a Tx is a way of saving all the different settings associated with a model [e.g. servo reverse, end-points, mixes, exponential movements] without having to reset them all after you've operated another model with different settings.

Thanks Dave, just what I wanted to hear.

Obviously the Flash 8 is overkill for boat use but I may make use of some of the functions at some point e.g. limiting the amount of throttle.
