      knew I had seen some other pictures, apparently there are about 5 of them

      2, hidden by trees growing out of them!.

        Hi All Are the concrete boats the type I believe were called FEREOCRETE built in the 50S. someone even built a narrow boat which I saw on the Trent and Mersey in the 1980s .Seemed well constructed and able to withstand a bit of rough handling Nice shape but I,ve no idea how they were constructed

          Not sure about the dates of the 5 in the run off,  but the one at Ellesmereport was built in 1944.

           

          Also in 2006 2 were rediscovered when build the new houses on the old Greenalls site, apparently there were also 5 !, these were also attributed to having been built in the early stages of WWII
