Magazine renewals

Yet again it pays not to renew your subscription but to take out a new one.

The online ordering system allows you to choose the issue you want to start with,  and you can access a 2 year subscription for considerably less.

I really dont understand why all prices are not the same, what incentive is there to renew ?

Obviously you are cost driven, which is fine if you judge money as the only incentive when considering renewing a subscription but for me the incentive to renew is not purely cost driven.

I regard the magazine as an excellent publication that I am happy to support by continuing to renew my subscription regardless of offers or incentives, after all the offers are there to attract new subscribers who hopefully will carry on with their subscriptions which increases the magazines revenue and thus enables the editorial team to continue and expand the quality and quantity of what they present to us.

In short it is a symbiotic relationship where all parties benefit.

Even shorter still: Value for money is not about cash.

Well it just gets up my nose.. if people want a bargin then they should go to a car boot sale. Model Boats mag is a first rate publication that needs the support of model builders or it will cease to exist…I bet that BlueWatsit would be the first to complain if that happened.
