Le Sphinx

Hi

I’m hoping to start the construction of the New Maquettes kit “Le Sphinx” shortly and have spent a long time looking for some details on the original yacht but so far no luck. The details of the kit suggest it is a Dutch royal yacht. Does any one have any information on the history of this yacht, I don’t seem to be able to find one image!

Thanks, yes I did come across this in my search but no one there appeared to be able to shed any light on the original yacht, I did look into the Royal Yachts of the World, by Tim Madge book but could find no reference to this model. I also researched the Dutch royal family history but the Piet Hein is the only yacht mentioned that comes close to this type, although on inspection it is clearly very different.

I seem to have picked a subject with little reference material as other have also found!

New question on this kit!

 Has any one out there built this kit? I would be very grateful to here from any one regarding a couple of points. I’m also after a set of instructions in English as my kit only came with German and a parts list in French – happy to pay all copy cost or electronic scan via email would be fine.
