Hi, I bought a copy of Marine Modelling International September 2004 in a Charity Shop as it had a feature on Landing Craft Tanks.

I am involved in a volunteering project researching LCT in WW2, the LCT 7047 is currently being restored in Portsmouth for the D Day Stories.

I live in Southampton where hundred's of LCT were moored alongside the Quay side for D Day

I have been unable to find the next edition of the magazine – Part 2 which covers more of the history of the LCT MK5 – I wondered (long shot I know) if anyone had any more information about LCT's.

Apologies if this isn't the right forum for such a request

Your model's look amazing but I don't think I am clever enough to make one

      Best wishes

      Sue

          Hi Sue,

We do have some LCT enthusiasts on here and nom doubt someone will see your request. In the meantime you can obtain the October 2004 issue of MMI from Magazine Exchange:

              Hi Sue

That sounds like my set of articles to accompany a 1/72nd plan of an LCT5. I can send you a scan of part 2 if you send me an email address. If you let me know what sort of info you are after, I can probably also point you to much more detail on many other types of LCT as well.

If you are involved with the LCT 7074 project perhaps you can advise on when it is expected to arrive at the D-Day museum?

              Francis

                Hi Francis

Thank-you for your reply I have sent you a PM.

The LCT 7074 is due to be moved to The D-Day Story, Clarence Esplanade, Southsea, PO5 3NT in Spring/Summer 2020, the Sherman and Churchill tanks which used to be in front of the museum will be displayed on board the LCT. It will be a great addition to the D Day Story

                Sue
