Hi All

Before the holiday period I was browsing Pinterest for Stuff, generally garage storage, work benches etc, cos I have a nice new man cave and wanted to see how to fit it out. Anyway came across something out of the ordinary, boat wise anyway, and thought I could build that. So

Here is a pile of wood, nice clean cut ends.

So the instructions called for pocket hole jig to be used to drill fancy holes at an angle. Never heard of it, so looked it up. Not cheap and looked kinda hard to use. So I thought I would use dowels instead.

Well, no-one told me how difficult it would be to use dowels. No jig, so made my own template after searching Youtube (a lot). But started going together nicely.

Nearly finished, bit more to do, but can you guess what it is yet.

Yup Bunk beds for my daughters Doll.

Not a boat, but might float if we are flooded. Good fun to make though and a whole host of new techniques learned.

Make the same thing but larger and you will have a nice tool store (bar for cold tinnies) for your new man cave

I have other ideas for tool storage. Going in buy some cheap kitchen cupboards and a worktop. I could build my own workbench, lots of plans out there, but to best use the space kitchen stuff works. the worktop run will be about 9ft (old money).

Not sure what to do with the wall space though, not really keen on peg boards, looks messy. But will see whenit is done. A beer fridge was discussed, not brought up be me either, Steph was already on the look out for a small cheap item. so can't be bad.
