I’m feeling happy

The snow is all around, disruption all about, and it’s too b****y cold to go out into my workshop……but guess what, i’m feeling happy???

 

Why, you cinics ask…………….’cos today is the shortest day, and for all us that suffer S.A.D….today is a milestone, the winter solstice (not that many will see much of the sunrise at Stonehenge today) and from tomorrow the nights start getting lighter again and I start looking forward to spring and summer, and boat sailing in warm sunny weather………………..yippeeeeeee.

It`s the same for me!………………I love getting past the 21st of Dec, every year!

 

But come the 21st of June……I get a slight dismal feeling!

 

Noticed the daffodills are growing through in our garden this morning….I like that, too!

I too suffer from Sailing Any Day syndrome, and not being able to because of the dark/cold gets to me too.

 

I cant believe its a whole year since I fiddled about with an icebreaker (gallery).

 

Another SAD project, as the quality of ice was not up to the parameters of my design, (too thick) and as postulated by various forum members….didnt work. But I just had to try, as every single year i have said ” ooo could do with an icebreaker…” etc etc.
