      help!
      I have a little tugboat
      it has a little battery
which has an unusual (well I’ve never seen it before) battery connector
can the hive mind identify it please?

      thanks

I can’t see it very clearly but it looks like it could be a Molex 51047-0200, 51047-0300 connector.

I used to have Tamiya connectors on all my stuff, as that’s what everything came with, but after having a few issues, and having new batteries that had Deans on them I changed everything over to Dean’s.

I bought about 40 pairs of connectors and spent an afternoon swapping them over. Well worth it…although they can grub up a bit and need some abrasive cleaning. Probably depends on the quality of manufacture.

XT60s are fantastic but quite expensive.

I think XT60s are the best but they can be a bit tight for small models with limited room.  They can come apart quite suddenly if you are not careful and you end up taking a swipe at the model!

90% of mine are Tamiya but I have frequently wished I had changed them all over to XT60s.  Too many to do!
