Yesterday was the Lymm Historic Transport Day, lots of cars, trucks, motorbikes, traction engines, little steam trains in the village, a fleet of narrow boats on the canal and even some model aircraft.
The day held fair until mid afternoon when the sky clouded over and threatened to spoil the main attraction of a WW2 aircraft, last year we had a Spitfire which, given the close proximity of our house to the event field, performed its banking roll right over our roof.
This year we were to be treated to a visit from the RAFs only flying Dakota and so I stood in our garden, camera in hand, hoping to get some great shots but the sky refused to brighten and so my long awaited photos were bland.
Took a load of photos and these are the best of the bunch with only one that is worth looking at

So bland that they looked best in sepia
