can you help i am building the Lady nelson
      by victory models (2nd attemped.)
I suffer with dyslexia, and from time to time it jumps ups and reminds me,
As it has done with the planking, I just can get to grips with it, ive got books on it.
I need to be shown ( so as they say the penny will drop) I am willing to pay someone
For a day/half day lesson. ( or if you need any drawings done as I am a teacher of AutoCAD)
During the week Sunday night to Thursday I live in London,
And weekends I go home to Hampshire.
      Many thanks
      Dave

How sad!……..David never got a reply to his planking question posted last July!

I could have mentioned the Great Eastern album……..which shows my method of planking………………..perhaps he`s still waiting out there?

              Hi Bob,

Yes, it is a shame.  Could be any of a number of things.  We would not have had many members back then,  possibly no one living near to him,  no one with the experience, no one needing the money or drawings !,  no one willing to give up their time.  Even so someone could have pointed David to a club in his area.

I think the best chance that you have of being shown how to do the planking is to go onto Youtube and see if they have a clip of the process.  I have built this model myself and although I did not need to be shown how to plank when it came to the rigging there is a clip on how to tie deadeyes and a lot more.  Another source of info is this site     http://www.shipmodeling.net/cmps_index.html    they have a lot of people posting on tall ships. Anyway the best of luck with your model.  Regards
