Hello,

I just acquired a vintage wooden model boat and I’d like to find out more about it. I wonder if anyone here can help?

The only marks I find are the word JAPAN stamped in large blue letters on some of the wooden panels.

Speed controller and motor appear original to the boat, radio components may have been updated. S.C. Is “M.A.CK. Products 12V 10 amp” motor unmarked.

I can’t find anything similar online. Certainly hand-built, but so well done, I assume it was manufactured. I don’t see any similar actual boats either.
