Good home wanted

Dad recently passed away, sadly, and left this model boat.

 

I remember he spent many happy hours building it and testing it out in the boating lake at Locke Park in Redcar. He was very proud of his efforts in building it and we all thought he had done really well for a first effort.

 

No-one in the family wants it, but we think it is too good to throw away. I wonder if it would be of interest to anyone on the forum? Although I am a modeller myself (static full rigged ships) I don’t have much information about it – what kit etc – but it is complete with two electric motors and RC.

 

I am based on Tyneside, and the boat is on Teesside, so might appeal to modellers in those areas.

it saddens me to see such a lovely model, built by a much loved dad,and no one in the family even wants it………….

 

.save it for the grand kids…get them involved in modelling, and hey presto……another generation will be inspired into model boat building.

 

i could never get rid of such a thing knowing my dad or grandad had built it with love and care.

I take your point, but the youngest of the grandchildren is now 23 and there’s no sign of another generation coming along for the forseeable future.

 

We just thought it would be nicer if someone could enjoy the fruits of Dad’s efforts rather than it collecting dust on top of a wardrobe somewhere.
