All of the talk regarding a mass sailing of landing craft to commemorate D Day has nudged me into finishing off a design for a futuristic armoured landing craft.

With an overall length of just over 1m and twin 500 motors the model has been designed specifically as a beginners build, with flat sides and crisp angled corners the model is quick and easy to build and has plenty of scope for the more experienced builder to add extra features such as a fully working ramp and rotating 30mm cannons.

The design is now complete and I am busy writing the instructions so if anyone fancies emulating Admiral Bob and doing an online build please let me know.

Your very active these days, Paul

          What about a suitable name?

          How about….."Trojan Horse"?

            Bob

Its part of my futuristic phase but oddly enough the RiverCat design sprang from this concept.

I have lots of almost complete designs so I have decided to work them all up and publish them for more fundraising.

As for the name…….Its called Falcon which is an acronym for Future Armoured Landing Cr…………..(a prize for the one who comes up with the correct ending)

Paul. 1/72 is of course the "normal" scale for small soldiers and kit tanks etc, so 1/75 is about there for population with suitable tanks and chaps etc.

Sorry, Paul. I thought they were the only letters I had guessed correctly……………… embarrassed

Rod. Good luck with that. If you crack on you will have it ready for any one of the NUMEROUS D-Day events that I am sure will be held around the country. No one will notice that its a bit late for ww2, only a bit.

Not quite a plan, but nearly. Also some very useful info on LCM 6 and 8
