          Hello Jed

The first thing that you will need is a basic plan of the boat.

          Length:   23′ 3″   Beam:   7′ 6″
          Draft:   2′   Height Above Waterline:   6′ 10″
          Headroom:   5′ 11″   Weight:   30 cwts
          Speed:   8 – 9 Knots   Construction:   Fibreglass

And from this you can start to develop your idea:

The next step is to decide how big your model will be and if it will be static or working and what materials you want to build the model out of.

Come back to us with these answers and we will move on to the next stage.

            Hi

            Thanks for your help Paul

I would like to build it about 18″ -24″long and it would be static on a plinth.

Not sure what material to use.  I would like to mirror the grp it is made of so i suppose plastic??

            Can it be done?

            Thanks

            Jed

To use GRP or plastic will involve a great deal of work making plugs and taking castings.
Personally I would make a frame out of thin ply and cover it with balsa and then concentrate on getting a nice smooth paint finish.
Its not to hard to produce a set of templates from the drawing and then to scratch build a simple frame.

What would you recommend for the pulpit rail and windscreen surround?

                    Good Evening Jed
Pulpit rail could be brazing rod or any rigid wire and the windscreen could be silver mirror board (craft shop item)
