To be fair to Bob he does have a valid point,
Whilst we regulate frequency use on a lake to prevent overlapping any nearby fisherman using a bait boat might be completely and innocently unaware of frequency problems.
I think that common sence would prevail especially at club level where a quick chat with the fisherman would establish what frequency he was using,
I find that when I sail on the canal that the same quick chat will avoid problems and establish a friendship with another waterway user.
After all fishermen might object to our presence just as much as we theirs.
Sorry Bob for hijacking your thread to chat we do get carried away sometimes but is it not the same at the lakeside……we do chat like fishwives.
