Some family members are so inconsiderate .I was looking forwards to spending a few days in weymouth this year for the boat show as last year there was some sort of game on and i could not get there BUT my brother has planned to take his grandchildren to Euro Disney and i have to look after the house and cats . BUT i get to play with his big telly and sky system and eat him out of house and home revenge i guess !! I may even raid his workshop to se what little bits i can er " BORROW " So not all bad i guess but the main problem is NO BLOODY LAKE within a decent walk of his house , there is tredegar house but that is at the other end of the city and his local engineering club have started a lake but they are more oriented on steam railway and electric railway of which there are some fantastic models of which i could only dream of making .Anyway moan over !!!

Sounds like you need a bike.

I can carry two models on mine, so not totally desperate when the missus has the car on a Sunday !

I could recommend getting an oblong cardboard box about 7 inches wide by 20 long and making an LCM to fit in it. Easy boating on bus or bike.
