By any chance have you switched digital suppliers from My Time Media to Pocketmags?

        Hello Paul

My POCKETMAGS account expired 12 months ago, since then, I`ve been with Modelboats website

Like I`ve already mentioned……..The Pocketmags receipt came as a surprise……….Beginning to think now that the Pocketmags account never actually shut down and I didn't realise it

        I may have paid twice!

It seems that Pocketmags and My Hobby Store are linked somehow?

        Bob

          Bob

It is very possible that the companies are not linked in any way apart from the fact that Pocketmags sell subscriptions just like My Time Media do.

Buying a subscription is very much like buying your electricity i.e. there are lots of different suppliers all selling the same thing.

If this is the case then Beth wont be able to help very much.

It might be a good idea to go through your bank statements and check your subscription payments then go onto your online subscription accounts and see exactly who is providing your service.

This might provide better answers than asking the forum membership who are as clearly in the dark as you are.

            Thank you, Paul

I could look back in the Bank Archives

Why doesn't someone who has the authority, simply reinstate the Digital Mag access?

After all, My Hobby Store have been paid!

It doesn't quite work like that Bob. I think you will find that Pocket Mags operate the technical side, downloading to electronic devices, and sell subscriptions direct and pass a share on the MyTimeMedia. MTM also sell subscriptions and pay PocketMags to operate the service to subscribers MTM have signed up. So you need to check who you actually took out your subscription with. If it was PocketMags then they would be regarded as a third party and you will not have access to the Digital Archives. The £9.99 you paid suggests it was a direct 3 month subscription with PocketMags.

You would get better value from taking out one of the MTM subscription options which also gives access to the digital archives.

If you have taken out the subscription with PocketMags then MTM can't help you as it is PocketMags who actually operate the system.

This seems to be the most likely situation and is probably why MTM have suggested that you sort it out with PocketMags.

              Good luck!

              Colin

When I get access to the Digital Mag and Archives…………Colin can erase the lot!

I'd like to say how noble and unselfish that attitude is, particularly as you've hijacked this thread to make your point.

To return to (more or less) the original subject, I'm vary happy to say that I got my copy today of the Fairey Huntsman 31 plans

As I've said previously, boats at the speedier end of the spectrum have never really been my main interest in the hobby, but I found this particular subject so attractive a shape that I couldnae resist it, and the plans, from the look of them, are just the bees' knees, too, so a rapid purchase was definitely in order!

It is not for any immediate build, though, but will have to take its place in the line of upcoming projects, all of which are still on hold until our doing up the lounge project is finished … but there, at least, the decorators have now been signed on to start work mid-January, so hopefully I shall be back to building models again fairly soon …

                    /Mattias
