      Thank you Paul

I`ve always called the MFA`s a Bobs Board for years!……We learn something new every day!

Don`t like the idea of crashing when the signal goes off!…………..This happened on Broom a few years ago, it ploughed into the bank at full speed……….Mystery solved!

See you this afternoon……………..take it easy my mate!

        No problem Bob

The Bobs board does have its problems but before cheap esc they were the most cost effective way to get speed control into your boat and I have fond memories of my early models fitted with this type of equipment.

I will watch out for you this afternoon I will be the chubby guy in a black leather coat with the walking stick and a vacant look.

Hi Guys  following this thread, may I put in my twopennyworth DO NOT connect model motors in series.       the ONLY time this does not give problems is when the motors are connected mechanically together.   Two motors and props in series if one picks up weed or anything to give it extra load it then slows down, the other motor speeds up, this then goes onto a feedback situation with one motor stopping and one motor over revving.

Did you go?………..Better luck next time, eh?……..I enjoyed my day there and the weather was acceptable

Ref capacitors; 0.1uF between the brush terminals and 0.01uF between each terminal and the motor case. Use ceramic capacitors.

              Job jobbed OK?

Hi All its me again, I live in Ellesmere Port about 2 miles from the Boat Museum. I went to the show Sat and Sun spent more than I wanted to but “ah heck” its only money. The weather Sat was dry but cold and windy, today it was raining quiet a bit and still cold.
Does any one who went Sat know if the Ellesmere Port model club retrieved the model (i believe it was a tug) of one of their members that sank, the last I saw was a big bloke balancing on a canal craft weilding a long pole with a hook on the end. There didnt seem to be as many traders there this year as there has been in past years, must be because of the economical situation the country is going through at the moment. Some lovely models there though(sailing type I mean)

                  Hello Robert

The March show never was a big traders event in the past…………..August is the real show!

I heard the tugboat was recovered……………There was also a further boat which appeared to sink on purpose.

A great event all the same!
