Can anyone please tell me why Dremel stopped marketing THE very best modeller's tool they ever made? I refer to their Stylus which, with it's small size and pistol grip, made the perfect tool for fine work. I have written to Dremel in South Africa, Belgium, and Germany and received nothing but a deafening silence. I have even hunted myself silly looking for old stock but to no avail.

Is there anyone amongst the many members here who have direct contacts with Dremel and who could, would, might pass on a hefty kick in the right direction?

Yes, I wondered why the Stylus seemed to had disappeared, I was thinking of getting one myself.

I have seen the Stylus on ebay from America. Not cheap but I agree that they are excellent.

Hi If you follow this link you will find the stylus is listed in 'retired' listing.

So probably stopped production

Thank you all.

I have just returned from a ten day escape to Natal where, in a smallish town, I found …………………. TWO Dremel Stylus machines!! Very dusty and obviously old stok and VERY expensive so I could only buy one (or push the car the odd 1100km home!).

So now I have a backup for the one that has served me well for the past 6 or 7 years – kallookalay!
