Hi all, great to be back on line , does anyone have any info on which traders will be attending the show and if there will be a bring and buy , it's a 240 mile return trip for me so it would be nice to know if it is worth the trip . the web site for the show does not give this info .

      Best regards Dave yes

          Hi Dave

Welcome back to the land of the living, Cookie

Thank you for your kind words on the other thread btw

I've got a feeling that the Doncaster Show has been and gone?

Just read a report on the show on the Etherow Club Website

There are two shows at the same venue. The one a couple of weeks ago was a model engineering show while the forthcoming one is the CADMA model boat show.
I shall not be attending. I have my reasons.

Hi Bob , you had me worried for a while then. I had to check the comp shop catalogue to be sure . but until I find out more info on the show I will have to give it a miss .

                Best regards Dave. frown

This is the best you'll get. If you do go then park as far away from the pool as you can – or take your wellies with you when you park. They empty the pool halfway through Sunday afternoon and some folk have had to paddle out through the resulting lake to retrieve their cars. Ask me how I know.

Lol , thanks for the link Dave , that's all I could find , its weird they normally announce traders ect earlier than this.

                    Regards Dave. yes

Two shows in the same town and close to each other in time. The Engineering show at the racecourse, come and gone. The Model Boat Show, weekend 3rd/4th June.

Dave, you had to walk through the water and not on it?

                        Yes, Malc – I did notice…

The problem is that I wasn't actually born in Yorkshire – just of it – hence not being fully qualified to walk on water. The dear pater came from Doncaster – and never went back. Can't say I altogether blame him.

As one who is fully qualified to walk on water, I can thee it ain't all it's cracked up to be, one gets ones sunday best white dress wet round the hem mi old flower & then the drips make tha' sandals soggy. wink 2

                            Regards Dave

Hi all, just got home from Doncaster , really enjoyed the show . it was very very busy with plenty of lovely boats on display and plenty of trade support , poor lian at comp shop was on his own and looked under pressure . it was my first visit to the show and although it was 210 miles round trip I will be going back next year.

                              Regards Dave
