Hi, Is anyone else is having a problem with their digital subscription? I paid to renew my subscription in December and told I can't access any mags until 1st of Feb! I've emailed the subscription support and told sorry for the problem we will look in to it and that was a week ago!

      Ben

          Hi Ben

Is your subscription with My Time Media or with another supplier?

            PLEASE, not again!

This website has NOTHING to do with subscriptions to Model Boats magazine. Seeing this stuff come around time after time is like "Groundhog Day".

I renewed my subscription through this website by clicking on the subscribe tab. So I am a little confused when someone says it's nothing to with model boats magazine. Surely this website is owned and operated by model boats and I read my digital magazines at this website.

OK – the Forum on this website has nothing to do etc etc. Contact details for subscriptions are available by clicking the Contact Us tab in the top RH corner of this screen. The Subscription Manager is Kate Hall.

Neither the Forum editor nor the magazine editor have anything to do with magazine subscriptions; that point has been made abundantly clear several times in the recent past. All they can do is pass on your information to the same person with whom you are probably dealing already.

While I agree with Dave Milbourn that a number of postings about subscription problems have been of the "I have a problem, please do something about it" kind, for which this forum is indeed not the right place, that does not seem to be what Ben is asking abut here; rather he seems to be seeking information as to whether or not other subscribers have also experienced problems similar to his, and given that this forum is a likely spot for MB subscribers to congregate I don't think that question all that misplaced.

In short, while the forum is indeed the wrong place to try to get one's subscription problems sorted, I don't see why this should exclude its use for discussions of the experiences of subscription or experiences of trying to get subscription problems sorted.

I have no problems if people want to discuss subscription policy as such on the forum on the understanding that we cannot intervene directly as subscriptions are managed by another company on behalf of MyTimeMedia with whom Ben is already in touch.

Was any particular reason given for the delay?

                    Colin

As Colin has already said, subscriptions are managed on a day to day basis by an external company.

I and Colin have no access to the data held there, nor want to!

At MyTimeMedia the following ladies are the 'in-house' subscription managers and when we (Colin and I) get a query, we simply forward it to them as they are the ultimate people who can solve the problem, if indeed there is one at the MyTimeMedia end.

                      They are:

                      [email protected]

                      [email protected]

Please don't forget to include your full name and address, plus any other relevant information such as subscriber number when contacting them direct and they have always responded within a reasonable space of time to such queries.

It occurs to me that In the case of Ben's renewing query, the question is, is he able to access digital editions right now in January on his existing subscription and the 'renewable' people are saying that his renewal would run from 1st Feb as a continuation of the existing subscription, which is then not a problem at all.

Also, quite often subscribers don't renew before their subscription ends, so then their subscription is treated as a NEW subscription, or did they mean his subscription would begin with the February issue that is on sale tomorrow, 15th Jan?

Either way, as others have said, the solution is to communicate with the Head Office Subscriptions Managers direct to resolve the problem, either by email or phone.

                      Hope this helps

Exactly. All I was asking was is anyone else having issues with there digital subscription. Not can you sort it out for me as I have already contacted the relevant people. Normally it works fine and I have no problems, but this time it's hard work and I wanted to ask if anyone else was experiencing problems and not get anyone upset or be "told off" by asking a perfectly honest question.

Colin, there was no reason given for the delay. Normally they send you the code and off you go.

Thanks Paul. I did let it lapse as it ends at the end of December and with Christmas it slips your mind.

Ben, hope you get it sorted. I have alerted Kate Hall to the issue you have raised anyway.

                            Keep on enjoying the magazine.

The crowbar has been recovered from postman Pat and is being coated in liberal amounts of butter.
