Deans Marine Vosper Royal Barge

Recently purchased a very old Deans Marine Vosper Royal Barge kit.

Instruction & plans very faded and in poor condition, but thankfully all the parts seem to be there.

Has any body built this kit?

The instruction are poor with very little picture content.

Any help would be great.

Hi John,

I'm afraid that many of the earlier Deans kits benefit from a general knowledge of scratch building to get the best out of them and it sounds as if this one is no different!

It might help to purchase the MyHobbyStore plan of the Vosper Royal Barge **LINK**

which could help you work out what goes where and what the model should look like but be prepared to do your own thing to get the result that you want.

Have a look around on deans forum, someone may have built one on there. Also if you contact Deans themselves I’m sure they will help, I’ve found them great to deal with.

Think your right Colin, having built the Snow Goose a bit thought had to go into that build. but the end result was a good looking boat and a pleasure to sail on the pond.
