The old Model Boats Magazine website used to have a Current & upcoming issues section.

Why can’t we have a listing or preview of the current and upcoming issues.

I am on a pension with limited funds, and none of the local stores carry Model Boats, I have to travel by public transit to go pick up a copy (the transit costs almost as much as the magazine), as I am mainly interested in live steam in boats I don’t pick up every issue, and I hate travelling downtown only to find there is nothing in the current issue available (usually two months later than the British issue).

In the Build Features Vinnie Branigan was posting Model Boats Next Issue , but the last one is for the July 2008 issue. http://www.modelboats.co.uk/news/article/mps/uan/153  I emailed him about it inquiring about the continuance of this but have not received a reply. Could some one please do this type of posting so we can be aware of the contents and decide as to whether we want to buy that issue or not?

The December issue, due out November 21st,  will have have the first of a series of articles by Richard Simpson on starting in steam. These are aimed at modellers wishing to get involved in steam using gear available on the market rather than from building your engine from scratch. They deal with selecting, installing and running steam plants and the practical issues involved. I’ve seen the draft material and can recommend it.

 My understanding is that it will be a six part series and should run every month – but that will be an Editorial decision.

All I can find over here (Toronto,  Canada) is the Winter issue Tugs special with no issue Number on it.

The issue before that was the November #696

The Warship/Tug Special was an extra issue. The December issue has since been published, about two weeks ago.

I have spent all afternoon trying to update the new issue contents on the homepage but there appears to be a problem with uploading the images at the moment as the site is giving me an error message. I have taken it up with Tech Support.
