“Contact us” ?

Had a question about the start date of my new subscription plus a minor hitch getting access to the back issues. Sent an email at the rat end of last week to the “contact us” address, and the read receipt came back this morning marked “deleted and unread” ?

 

Ain’t that a tad rude, mate?

That sounds like an automated response due to your email for some reason being classified as spam by the receiving system. I assume you were contacting the subscription ageny direct in which case I suggest you try either the email or telephone contacts given on the left hand side of the contents page in the magazine.

 

They should be able to sort things out for you.

Don’t know about the spam. It was sent directly from the page that comes up when you try to read Digital Issues and it says something like…>if you are an overseas …contact us using this address……. Doesn’t show to me now, because I sorted that particular issue myself.  And this is what I got back………………..>

But.moving on……..After I paid the sub it told me that my first issue would be the June (out in May) one.  Whereas…I……in my innocence, thought I was paying for the May one, (out in April)…..do you recommend using the email from the inside of the online issue to try and sort that, or would I be wasting my time?

Sounds odd I agree. Not sure what you mean by ‘online edition’ but it would definitely be worth raising the matter with the customer service contacts given in the magazine itself as these are MyHobbyStore rather than the company which manages the subscriptions. Explain that you are having problems with the subscriptions company.

Somebody from the USA has reported a similar problem. I have emailed the Subscriptions Manager at MyHobbyStore drawing her attention to this although we may not get a response until after Easter.

Hello Brian……. It’s prob an Easter thing as Colin says.  I haven’t rec’d a response since the original one from MYHobbyStore, letting me know that they had ripped up my email and chucked it in the round can in the corner!  (Slight artistically licenced exaggeration)

 

I decided to be slightly more proactive and sort the probs myself.     Have now got access to the archived copies so can amuse myself untill the June copy arrives in May.

Hello Model Boat enthusiasts,
