I thought I’d just post to congratulate all concerned on the latest Model Boats Special. I had been looking forward to it dropping on the mat, and was not disappointed.

 

Like many, I suspect, I particularly enjoyed John Parker’s article about the Commuter, Vamoose. What a lovely subject, fantastic build and a beautifully written article. I have often drooled over these types of boat in my copy of Wooden Boat’s ‘Designs to Inspire’ and have bemoaned the lack of lines in many of the drawings- good job there are people with John’s skill to turn them into reality. ‘Designs to Inspire’ has not been far from my elbow for months now!

 

I also enjoyed Colin’s article on Straight Running- again some great photos to enjoy. Thanks again to all those involved.

Thank you for the kind words Ian, much appreciated. Paul works very hard as Editor to try and get the right mix for the general readership and current sales figures indicate that he has succeeded in doing this..

 

Like you I thought John Parker’s article was excellent and a great example of our hobby. We shall be seeing more of his articles and plans in the future.
