          Hello Wayne

Being water based the drying time and final strength of PVA is affected by temperature and humidity. You can email the manufacturers technical dept to find out more about the performance of particular brand but I can say that an extended drying time will have an effect on the final strength.

Wayne. i have been building something over the November/December period, and this is normally something I would use PVA for…on a sunny saturday or Sunday in the garden.

However, due to the issues you have discovered, i have used epoxy 5 min glue. Devcon, comes at a very reasonable price in 250ml bottles.

Either that or you cut and fit the bits of wood in the shed, and glue it up inside. A bit like wot I have been doing, due to a few weeks of intense cold..I have been dashing to the workshop, cutting and trimming and then dashing back to the front room, or hangar, as its known in our house.. to glue up.
