Do you know the size of New Zealand coins? I doubt it.  So why show UK ones?  After all it is supposed to be an International magazine………
Please use only a RULER when illustrating the size of an object/model.

Rob. Very good point. and something overlooked by a lot of people. Its very difficult to bear these things in mind, especially if you are only an occasional article writer.I always use a ruler, generally, but I do have a very large chocolate coin at home to use when making my models look more impressive.

AND another thing….use a CENTIMETRE rule as well, as good old spiffing imperial inches are similarly not so well known internationally.    Ashley

This is a valid point and one I have taken on board in resent years. For size comparison { not scale that’s a  different issue}  the popular Humbrol tinlet is very useful.

Don’t get me going on Humbrol tinlets, can anyone tell me why the price continues to rise despite the reduction in oil prices recently.

Alan, the price of the raw material is only a fraction of the cost of the product. Petrol is £1 a litre – Humbrol paint is over £70 a litre. Anglian Water put their charges up year on year, but the bloody stuff falls out of the sky for free!

                  Hi.

Have you ever had a drop of rain water analyzed if you did according to my grand- doughter (Studeying to be a bio- chemist ) we would never use it again without it being treated
                  A USE-LESS BIT OF INFO.

I agree Brian. All water should be boiled and treated before drinking. Personally I prefer mine as prepared by Adnams, Woodefords, or Greene King.

How about a can of pop for size? I think they are standard world wide?
                      Regards,
                      Gerald.
PS At one time you could get business card from photo supply shops that had Inches and Millimeters on the edges and a pattern and gray scale in the center. I think they were put out by Ilford film, I evan had one laminated that I used to carry in my wallet.
