Charlestown, Cornwall

Model building has come to a halt over the last few weeks due to other commitments but we had a few days away a couple of weeks or so ago over that glorious weekend.

We went down to one of our regular haunts, the Pier House Hotel, in Charlestown, Near St. Austell, Cornwall.

This year they "only" had a couple of smaller boats in the harbour. They usually have a couple of bigger ones which have featured in various films and TV programmes.

The first photos are from this visit and the last one from a previous visit when the bigger boats were there.

I haven't been there for probably 25 years but it still looks very much the same.

As above. Fantastic atmosphere bolstered (usually) by some sort of old sailing ship alongside.
