Building the Caldercraft Imara

Hi peeps, I don’t know if anyone cares but I have just started on the Caldercraft Imara after a break from modelling for several years. I have decided to share my experiences with anyone who cares to follow at – http://www.imarablog.org

Hi Neil, your Perseverance is lovely. I wish I had the money & time to invest in a steam plant for mine but I will be happy with electic. If it is ok with you I would like to host a page of your models pics at my site. Also if you want to write up a little bit of text about your model (why Perseverence & not Imara, what differences etc) then I could add that too.

Where are you based? I am in Sussex.

hi Martin, no problems with using any of the photos at all.If you pm me with your email address I’ll send you a little info about her for your files.

As for naming her Perseverance, she did servein the Royal Navy during ww2 and was named whilst under the "grey funnel line" Perseverance,and remaned so for about 8 months after she was decommisioned out of the service and waiting to be repatriated with her owners in Dar Es Salam.

It sounded a little quirkier than Imara.
