I was going to recommend the Model Ship World forum (**LINK**), but I see now that you already posted the same question there; it's not that you mightn't get help here — you never know — but you are much more likely to get it over there, as to my knowledge it is one of the main fora for period men-of-war models, whereas discussions here in general are more about the r/c side of boat modelling. Not that static models or period MoW are off-topic in anyway, but they don't tend to turn up all that often in the threads here.

On a closer look I also see that you did indeed get links to three build logs over on MSW …

If you haven' t found the build log on MSW, the most detailed build of Caldercraft/Jokita HMS Mars can be found in the Model Boats Winter 2007 Kit Special. Written by (the late) Keith Julier, who was one of the top builders (and writers) regarding this type of model.
