Thanks for that Kim, I was beginning to think I had bought a roofbox for nothing.

I often wonder just how many lists I'm on.

              Kim

Is the Ben still a bouncy trip in hard weather?

              Only three sleeps to go.

                Hiya Paul,

actually I thought she'd be awful but experience has shown she's a very good steady boat even in a blow. The passenger space is positioned in the near null point, so every thing is moving round about but if you stay seated it's not too bad. Mind, I was on the ben the day she went in a SE 9. Astern out from the pier as they did then (the new breakwater was not built) and did she jump.

I was in the bar and very thing cascaded down from one side to the other. The barman actually climbed up and into the kitchen area to escape flying fridges and bottles. Took near an hour to get a pint! Oh and the crossing took just under 7 hours to Liverpool!

Yup 3 sleeps, then all aboard the skylark! We can have a good chat and chew the cud too.

What's this list he's on about – he'll be lucky to read it after Jean's finished with him……………

                Aye, see ya, Kim

Yep 3 Long sleeps for me !!

Anyway the " The Final Furlong Bar" has been located,( you may need to press F5 to refresh your screen) may not be much to drink by the time you lot get there !!!! so no need to pinch Paul and Bobs slot..

                  Regards.

As you walk in reception, pass the reception desk, pass the keal hauled and hot iron pokered !! crew member , there are doors on the left, in there is the Lancaster Sweet, This leads into the Sandon which in turn ( If I am Correct ) leads to the Weigh in Bar.

                            Hi Larry

Its easy to tell that the Haydock interactive map isn't anything to do with you as its nowhere near your usual high standard.

Thanks for the directions and when I arrive on Friday afternoon I shall bring some soothing balm for your hot pokered wounds.

                            Paul

ps Do you want the small jar of balm or the super big family size tub

They think it's the water pump gland…..Nothing serious

Anyway…..Got the Haydock tickets and stuff……Many thanks, Paul

Will roll up at Haydock Saturday morning

Glad to see you got back ok (good old AA)

I'm having a little bit of trouble getting my head around the model boat fundraising blog site but I should have it sorted out tomorrow.

I will be at Haydock on Friday at 3pm…… if I can find the weigh in bar….despite Larry's excellent directions the bar doesn't show up on the Haydock Park website (so I will follow the smell of hot poker and roasted flesh)

                                  Paul

The trial packing has gone well this morning and I have managed to get eleven boats, including three Marblehead sized yachts (50 inches long) into a Honda CRV and roof box. Not quite sure where we are going to put our overnight bag so Elizabeth and I might be a bit scruffy and smelly by Sunday.

Come and see us on the Vintage Crew stand in the Final Furlong Bar.

Sorry Bob, no room for Spider J or Nessie, vintage model yachts take priority this weekend.

Everything is well strapped down Larry, its the heavy lifting and carrying I am worried about (but we have got a trolley in there somwhere.)

Our car is just as full Gareth, and I've only 8 boats, a rope walk and sail gear + sewing machine. And at last minute, an extra passenger (not with us but at same hotel and event as a watcher.)

Will be starting out at just after 6am in morning, see you at Haydock about 2.30 – 3.00 as we are doing a quick shop on way in. We don't have a Sainsburys and need some Milo, like 16 tins!

Good job we've a heavy lift lift up to our bar display area, and thank goodness you have a trolley included.

See U all tomorrow, and Bob Saturday, aye, Kim.

Paul, keep the secret – if he doesn't know now then he never should. Some things are best kept amongst those in the know, Nano nano, zarcumbi. Wonder if he ever looks things up on the internet? I would.

A bacon bap with snotty egg will see me through till dinner, but we still take a flask £1.75 a culpa is a bit much.

Never found Milo in any Tescoes we've been in, and that's a few. For a while it disappeared and we had to resort to the great god of the web "Amaze-`on" (trying not to advertise) and can get free delivery to here at times. A small firm over here actually stock it, but with the bikes on again, MGP, they run low. Us buying a slab of 24 clears them out.

Forecast is good, but tide is agin us, so it'll be 12.30+ before we're in.
