Wasnt sure where to post this but I saw ashleys hovervan copy of the top gear boat and well done ashley, looks really good. However , lo and behold top gear was on last night and there was the hovervan. Now I dont usually watch the programme as I have neither the money or the interest in super cars but this episode was something else. I have never laffed so much at a BBC programme since only fools and horses rubber doll escapade. How they got away with it I will never know. The upturned boat man in water, tables of posh food and wine etc etc. Hope you have as much fun with yours ashley.

ashley , you gonna have to make yours go faster. how about the rapier rocket system? thats if you can get them. think they are classed as fireworks now and cant be sold. i`ve only got 8 of them left. or maybe a jetex unit or two?

The issue is with the skirt unfortunately, being solid.

It is soft foam and certainly looks the part but does not impart the "lightness of touch" that a flexible nylon material one does. This is not to say it does not work, which it does, and at slower speeds it works fine and kicks up the required amount of spray and so on. It goes over weed no probs and so proves that it is certainly hovering ok.

On a dead clam day with the right trim it actually motors on at a reasonable pace, but in average conditions the performance is average.

The best performance was when the pond was just iced over, you could see the thin skin of ice flexing under the down draught.

That was funny that was…as the `van went down the stream, the whole surface of the water (which was ice) was rippling like a waterbed with two…oh no… I cant say that here!

We were given a waterbed in a Dutch hotel once, up[graded to the honeymoon suite.

Every time one of us turned over the other hit the ceiling…
