      Hello Phil

Thanks for showing us your motor setup…….I like the purposeful air vents!

How are you getting the water into the pipe?

Phil. Excellent. All that alloy work. wonderful.I am not sure about  the cooling efficiacy of the silicon tuibes tho???  I presume they work, but….
red and green (black) coupling for port and starboard!!   great detail .

That was pure accident Ashley the same has happened to the deans connectors for the motors if you could but see them  The water scoop is aft of one prop Bob and extended down to put it right in the centre of the wash might work for a hydro to. the silicones aren’t  to efficient Ashley but will suffice untill I get round to fitting some proper coils.

I made the scoop from some 6mm ali tube with a cap soldered/brazed on the lower end the brazing rods for ali/white/all non magnetic metals is available at dukeries engineering have a look at their web site

            Hello Phil

Can you be sure the inlet pipe works?……………….Have you got a visible outlet somewhere?

I`ve never used water cooling on my boats……………..had a few smokers though!

PS…It`s so damp here in Manchester…the PVA glue is still white after 5 hours!

The outlet is at the water line on the stb side towards the stern bob but if you hold her still and observe the cooling pipes its quite obvious that even at 1/4 throttle water flows quite fast and this is confirmed by holding her at a slight port list so the exit comes above the water line

Just a couple of points on the glue Bob do not get either on your hands! with the Cyano the real danger is accidently sticking your fingers to some thing or them selves. also if cyano gets damp it can get quite hot so have some water handy to cool your fingers should the worst happen. another issue with cyano is when set if you find yourself cutting/grinding/sanding it there is a point easily reached with a dremmel when it gets hot enough to vapourise. this rarely affects the joint but the sudden puff of smoke is not something you want to breathe or get in your eyes. trust me it hurts. As for Gorilla glue it has, as far as I know, no serious toxicity, but even while still wet will not wash of fingers. in fact the water simply speeds the set. it can however be removed with meths before it sets but not afterwards.

The “longbow Warrior” made her 1st public appearance today at a display we put on at Maunsel Lock canal centre on the Taunton – Bridgewater canal and pleasantly attracted quite a lot of interest. However a lesson was learnt! out of ignorance I have failed to put a fuse/trip switch on the bty line and it looks as though when I found a patch of submerged weed and fouled the props I’ve overloaded the new ESC and blown it.  Lesson learnt the hard way.
