Android App

Hi How do you get your android app? I have entered http://www.modelboats.co.uk/app into 3 seperate android browsers but to no avail. All i ever get is sent back to the page that tells you to go to the website mentioned above.

Very confusing! Please help.

I'm not familiar with the technicalities myself but I understand that to get the App to work you need to enter your subscriber number and password.

As the App allows you to read the magazine online it is for hard copy and digital subscribers only.

Cheers Colin, I tried that as well but although i got to the digital issues that still isn't an app in the true sense ie an icon i can put on my home page click and your in (i have 4 different android devices). As far as i can see it's just a bookmark and not an app. As i said i'm very confused!!

Just tried on my iPad min and it worked fine, creating icon on home page.

I typed http://www.modelboats.co.uk/app into browser, found site, it was about 5th down, opened it, it asks for email address + password (subscriber) and then followed normal iPad operating system procedure for putting icon on to desktop – which works. I did NOT copyand paste the address.

You do only get the digital issues free if you are a registered subscriber though.

If not, then digital issues can be bought via iTunes/Newstand – just type model boats in to the search facility.

H/O is now closed until Jan 2nd, so not possible to ask anyone there to resolve further.

I cannot comment on other tablet/phone operating systems as Apple is all I have.

it doesn't work on motorola xoom2 android device or on nokia lumia windows phone which i have, a great pity as I would have liked to have this app for when I am at sea and dont have my magazine to hand
