Having had the unpleasent duty of clearing dads flat out as he has gone into a home i came across a couple of boats he built in his better days and i came across a hull just perfect for a Florida style Airboat .So my fellow modelers the question is Where do i start ??? i have a few ideas in my mind but not sure how to go about them so any help/advice would be good .

      many thanks

Andy, a clue is needed here. Size and so on.

ALSO..what motors do you have loafing about?

You know what they look like, it is simply a matter of making a suitable mount, getting a prop adaptor and prop, glueing everything together and of course making something to put the battery and gubbins in.

          Picture plse.

There were some good articles on airboats in the magazine a couple of years or so ago, can't remember off hand which issues they were though.

Ashley/Colin .The hull measures 26"(66cm) length

              12" (30cm ) width

              2 1/2 " (6cm) height

The construction is very light possibly light ply and balsa and coverd in a sort of red plastic film ,pos the stuff they use on model aircraft .As for the bismark it's turning out to be a right " pig " of a job with some bits so small you need a microscope to see them on a positive side the hull is plenty wide and deep to accomadate all sorts of gadgets more than my pocket can afford unfortunatly !!! What i would like to do is to , possibly , get all turrets to turn through 180 degrees .The gear i have to hand is an old railway turntable motor and gears that i bought in a sale so any ideas would be much welcome .

              Many thanks Andy
