greetings all

I have recently built an Aeronaut Diva ,has anyone installed a brushless motor in one ,if so what KV.

I have also completed an Aeronaut Queen, same question as above,

All suggestions would be most welcome

Hi Bryan

As the Aeronaut Queen is 950mm I suggest 35mm Hobbyking 3639 750kv, ESC 45Amp with program card, 3S 5800mah Lipo battery and a 2 blade 40-50mm prop.

As for the Aeronaut Diva I suggest a smaller 28mm Hobbyking Propdrive V2 2836 1200kv, ESC 60 Amp, 3S 2650mah Lipo battery and a 2 blade 32mm prop.

I am using a 3639 1100kv in my Sea Commander on 3S with a 2 blade 40mm prop, good turn of speed.

Low Voltage Alarm (part No. VOLTAGE-ALARM) ALSO CHEKS TOTAL VOLTAGE AND CELL VOLTAGE.

I use the car ESC's as they are small with fan cooling( part No. HK-45A, HK-60A and HK-100A) program card (HK PROG-CARD).

These are easy to program up, but, I can post my settings.

The ESC's like a servo and not required to be program to your radio.

The motors do not require water cooling, but, you an if you wish to!!!

ESC setting for Hobbyking car ESC's HK-45 to 100A using the program card.

1 Cutoff Voltage for 2S=6.8, 3S=10.2 and 4S=13.6
2 Start Power Percent=10%
3 Advance Timing=4
4 Run Mode=2
5 Brake Force=1
6 Drag Brake Force=1
7 Neutral Range=1
8 Initial Brake Force=1
9 Reverse Force=1

PS. I have not used the 30Amp one, but, it should work as well.

It so happens that I have in the bits box the motor and esc that you recommend ,I was going to use them some time ago in my Sea Commander but I could never get them to work so I dumped all the bits in the box, what I cannot understand is that the instructions state that you can use the default programme , surely this means that it would run straight out of the box.

I have installed aTurnigy system in my large Huntsman and that ran straight out of box in default mode ,so why don't all the systems run in default.straight away

It is obvious to me that I have lost the plot somewhere .

Hi Bryan

I found the default setup was more for cars and as we have no brakes in boats.

I cut the effect down to a minimum and the cutoff voltage is to the recommended settings.

The start power gives a good low speed setup and the 25% in reverse also..
