I haven't seen the article yet but it may be the Hobby's one.

            Hi Colin,

Thanks, but the Hobby's "Swan" is a different boat.

            Terry.

I am a subscriber to the Digital version of your very excellent ModelBoats magazine

The only problem I`m experiencing, is that the print clarity is quite poor caused by coarse pixilation

Do we need to do something with the settings, to make it readable?

I notice there is a picture of Paul Thomason and myself, on page 6 but can`t read the caption

I have four casual none model making pals and for some reason, they can`t navigate the ModelBoats website!

They are not members, but for some reason they don`t see what we see!

                They don`t see……"Latest Posts"…….As an example

                Any comments please?

                Bob

Not certain Bob but I expect it's because they haven't registered. It is a common practice for Internet Forums to restrict the access to casual browsers such as not being able to use the search facility or see photos etc. the intention being to show people the goodies available and encourage them to participate. That applies to both private and commercial forums.

I don't know about the printing from digital facilitiy as I never use it. I will see what I can find out.

                    Hi Bob

I'm afraid there isn't any we can do about the print quality of the digital archive, the page you are referring to does have very small captions on a drak background, but I've printed it myself, and its not too bad, but I agree it is hard to read the caption.

The caption itself reads "Forum members regularly write for the magazine and support model boating events. Paul Thomason and Robert Abell, both regular forum supporters can be seen here at Haydock Park in 2014"

Your friends should be able to read Latest Posts and forum threads without being registered, but won't be able to post in the threads. They can see what you can see, as long as they are looking in the right place!

                    Thanks

                    Katy

                      Thank you, Katy

                      Isn't that odd?

The text is perfectly clear and easily readable on the IPad, but a total mess on the PC!

                      Bob
