But……..Can't take the VGC afterall…….Too much disruption and aggro for us

Speed limit on the A55 is 50 MPH in the regatta area

I think it's junction 22……..Look for Erias Park council offices

There's acres of car parking space

Toilets facilities are rather sparse, but next year, the club are moving to another pond, close by

It's a nice show, with a few model stalls, food tents, model comps and auction etc

Your pal Arthur from Haydock sometimes attends, also, Phil Button and Stavros, and most of the crowd from Ellesmere Port shows and New Brighton and Hoylake

We'll get there for about 11.00 am

Bob and Duckie finally got to the Colwyn Bay show 2016 and we were not disappointed

Paul and Co cried off having seen the weather forecast

Can`t blame him really……Within 2 mins of getting there……Down came the rain, on and off for the next 2 hours

After lunch, the sun had got his hat on and the day warmed up

The show was very impressive and well attended

Plenty of famous club stalls, large food and drink tent and the usual bring and buy sale and Objects D`art (Junke) etc

Bob met Dave Wooley, snooping about with his trusty camera, just as we set up Brutus and SloMo

The water was very choppy at times and brought gasps of shock and awe from us at times

Duckie`s animated Teal developed a minor problem, just as the VIP`s were passing and attracted their attention

As they took an interest, the model burst into a quacking and head swivelling mode, much to their surprise and enjoyment!

What do you think is the reason for the thread belng so popular?

Was it the two year project, plus the outrageous motor drive that was responsible?

I hope to bring the model out for the club's regatta, next month, along with the Silver mist

That should keep the Southern Pretender in his place?

Just to see how VGC and Silver Mist get on together on the water, I've cobbled up a PhotoShop picture

I'm hoping to sail both boats at the next club regatta or even next week?

It should be quite a sight, seeing them both on the water?

As mentioned earlier, we sailed Silver Mist and the VGC today

Lovely Summers day……..In fact it got too warm in no time and we all went home totally exhausted later, the temperature was 23 deg!

Both boats sailed nicely and met the approval of the gobsmacked bystanders

Why gobsmacked you ask?………Because they saw the Quadrupal Motor drive, belting round……and had not seen anything like it in their life!…….Even Lady Joyce was impressed as VGC powered round…..The bow wave was most spectacular at times……..See video…….Hopefully

Friend Duckie has made a video, but he too, went home shattered, only hope the video is a nice one

Silver Mist stopped abruptly……It had snagged a Dog Poo Bag round the prop!

The motor got red hot and sort of siezed up, but later freed itself on cooling down

Meanwhile, VGC carried on cruising……And one set of batteries were still going strong after one hour of sailing

Only hope the video backs up my glowing report
