Keeping a watching brief…….yes I'm a forum member without portfolio (kudos to the person who can name the TV show where this came from)

The card designing is fun and sometimes profitable, a few years ago Jane and I designed a range of CDs called the 3D builder for Crafters Companion which was a very nice little earner.

The white car was for a wedding and the snowman is a Christmas giftbox (the black box is a CD case)

This is another giftbox designed to take a bottle.

Its all good fun and keeps my mind sharp.

The card models are amazing. I looked into these a while ago, there is a huge following if card modelling. Race paper has some cool ones of racing cars and trucks etc http://www.racepaper.de. I will investigate your cd and see if I can find it.

I don't know about any changes to internet selling, what have you heard?

I have just finished designing something that probably isn't your kind of thing….its a single point hydroplane that looks like a cross between a manta ray and one of Ashleys ground effect ekranoplans.

At full speed the whole boat rides on just 20sq mm of hull and the ground effect wings keep the thing stable.

How about a Type 26 Global Combat Ship?

If you're talking about the new VAT rules for online selling, those were January last year. They say that, for each transaction, you no longer have to comply with UK rules (assuming you are selling from the UK, but instead have to comply with the VAT rules of the customer's country. Which involves a lot of extra work..!

Mr VAT and I have an understanding, he doesn't do model boats and I don't collect tax.

I have drawings for the Type 26 at 6ft long and was intending to do a 5ft Huntress this summer. I am still playing around with the idea of the Mersey Ferry inboard side wheeler.

What do you fancy doing?
