        Hello Mike

Just having a bit of fun with the 1/12th bits and pieces

The range of stuff available is really amazing……….I'll have a look for an electic drill

Just finished off the Dinghy support and tidied up

Got a novelty feature for the kids in the offing!………Something animated?

            Hello Craftsman Bob

The dinghy looks superb and you should be proud of what you have achieved.

A new career beckons selling these on ebay.

but what it really needs is a small outboard motor wink

I cant wait to see the animated surprise…..from normal people I would expect a rotating Decca radar but from craftsman Bob……well I have no idea……. A fully working carousel roundabout with horses and flashing lights or a child's playground with swings.

Will be nice little project though

Putting the launch back by two weeks takes us to March 16th 2018, they built the new aircraft carrier quicker.

                                      Bob. Nice motor.

A seagull type would be more interesting…all those alloy tubes and cylinder finning, fuel tank…..just a suggestion

It is a silly thing, but the rubber boat looks a bit shiny, they are reasonably dull….just a detail.

Is there a standard bore size for a lifebelt and what is it please?

                                            Hello Bob,

On page 48 of this RNLI booklet (**LINK**) you'll find a list of applicable national and international strandards for lifesaving appliances. I will confess to having neither looked up nor trawled through this material — undoubtedly a riveting read — but you might mayhap find what yuou are looking for there?!

A quick further look seems to indicate that standard dimensions for lifebouys are provided in the European standard EN 14144:2003 on Lifebouys — requirements, tests. Alas, the full text of standards tend to be for purchase only, but perhaps your local library, or maybe a life boat station or similar, might be able to help you out?!
