It looks like an upholder class with static dive tank. I think it is from OTW
I would look on mayhem for more advice there is a couple of guys who are very experianced in submarines ad will guide you. I am unsure if they post here

Hi Brian, I have just remembered that the new class of submarine in service with the Royal Navy will be the Astute class, and it is HMS Astute that is being built atVickers right now I have seen the facility for docking and repair at Faslane myself, and I guess that there will be around six boats of the Astute class in allThat is there is on thecurrent order book The Astute was the one that the dopey government suggested sticking some vertical ballistic missile launch tubes in as an extra to save the cost of building a new class with somenew boats to take the plave of all the Vanguard class (expensive)

The sub in the photo is def an Upholder from OTW.
All four were sold off to Canada to become their new Victoria Class SSK (diesel electric hunter killers)
Nothing to do with the Astute class SSN which are nuclear hunter killer subs with cruise missiles (similar to the improved US Los Angeles class)
Vanguard as just SSBN ballistic missile subs, a nuclear deterant force, and carry out a totally different role from the hunter killers.
                Regards

…and also, I forgot to mention that the model sub is not a dynamic diver.
OTW fit a full ballast system into the clear tube, the middle tank is the ballast tank which can be filled or emptied to dive/surface.
Should be a nice little runner once she is ballasted properly.
                  Regards

thanks steve . after visiting gosport sub museum i sent to there archive , and they were very helpful sending info and photo of the actual hms upholder .
when i got back i took the plunge (well the sub did ) and it went great .i was a bit apprehensive has the water was dirty . but i managed has my first sail to submerge it but kept the conning tower above water . it did run nice and i was very pleased .regards Brian
