Tommy. WHAT an excellent choice of boat, If i may say so. Plse see pictures of said Fantome on my album. For a radio, a bog standard 2ch Acoms or Futaba will do nicely. I wasnt keen on the supplied ESC (as comes with the motor kit) as its one of those ones with a delay when going into reverse, and only half power at that. The only difference from standard on my boat is the black rubber edge trim…as I couldnt see how you could glue the supplied white cord around the edge nicely, and also this would get grubby in no time at all and wouldnt clean. I made my radar bridge de-mountable, with some posts set into the bottom of the legs and a hole/tube in the fuselage sides. The round radar dome was home made out of wood on a lathe. The dolls used were “pippa dolls” unfortunately v collectable now, in a 6 inch size, I have some, they are awaiting clothing.. see my thread for more info. I have put a couple of working spotlights on it as a concession to lighting. The pulpit rail I had was abominable, and I got the the shop to change it for me. Its still a bit crude, however, the kit, considering the size of it, is reasonable cheap so cant moan. Alright, you can moan……    It goes really well considering its size and the battery lasts for an hour, if full speed is not used all the time. Ashley

Tommy. An ESC is an electronic speed controller. If you have not got one i might suggest a 25A Mtronics Viper…..a good model shop will know the thing, with a 20 Amp fuse in cct somewhere. The ESC plugs into the receiver, and has a connection to the battery and motors, motors wired in parallel assuming you are using the specified 12v battery.Ashley
