I’ve done a bit of searching, but can’t find any info on home-made sails

I’m building a Dragon Force 65 and wondered if it is feasible to make my own sails

or does everyone just buy ready made?

      cheers

      Mike

        Hi Mike,

Yes folk still make sails from fabric or Mylar drafting film as used on the DF65 , Housemartin sails are so cheap not really worth bothering he made me a set of sails for my Victoria for £35 inc postage. for my more scale boats I get them from Nylet in white dacron slightly more expensive but worth it 🙂

I hand sewed these barge sails from Eygption cotton 🙂Veronica 160423

        Regards Ray
