dsc_0286.jpgdsc_0279.jpgdsc_0278.jpgBruce Crandaall designed the FLYER in 1935. It was a C class 15 foot racing hydroplane. The model I purchased is made by the Vietnam company Gia Nhien aand is capable of having RC installed. Nick Brraghn fromHertfordshire England installed the running gear and Radio Control systems. 193speedboat.jpg

Nick Baghn made a video and it is available on YOUTUBE

M attempt to post the URL for the video on this site does not work

using GOOGLE do a search on nautical nostalgia youtube and you will find four videos Nick has posted on YOUTUBE, one of them being the FLYER

Nick ouyfitted my boat with these components

              2 Leopard Outrunner 1520kv motors

2 Leopard 60amp ESC and Y lead to pair them.

              Standard 2.4ghz radio set

              11.1v LiPo 5500ma battery

              Rudder and linkage

              Hi torque metal gear servo

Propshaft, X40 prop, Powerflex, Mount and Mount plate

              2 internally mounted exhaust fabs

This should result in a top speedof 28MPH. The bot has an open cockpit so I rejected the option of using larger props to obtain a top speed of 40MPH

If you are interested in acquiring one of these speedboats you may contatc Nick at 1920318571
