        This
new addition to the Compact kit range is to the slightly larger scale
of 1/72 to give more working room in the model and to make the kits
more suitable for the railway modeler.

The details and construction methods used in the craft are the same as in all the kits in the Compact Kit range.

This craft is based on one of the ships used in the petro- chemical port of Euro-port in Holland.

The ships are constructed by the DELTA shipyard to a standard design
and personalised by the buyers to suit there own needs. This example of
the type is designed as a fire-fighting and rescue ship. She is fitted
with powerful water and foam monitors, the one on the top of the mast
        being telescopic.

She is also fitted with fast launch and
recovery R.I.B.s in quick launch davits. On board she is also fitted
with powerful suction pumps and a decompression chamber.

        The
ship has two powerful diesel engines driving twin screws and are
capable of handling most disasters on the largest of ships in confined
        waters

        Details of the kit

        Scale 1/72 Length 320mm Beam 115mm Sailing weight 857g

BBD. Monitors are easy to make. They consist or a post and bit of pipe on top. Make the post out of dowel, can stick a bit in a power drill and use it like a lathe to taper it down with a file or sandpaper, epoxy a bit of brass pipe on and stick the thin plastic tube from the pump on one end and bobs your uncle.

OK, its not quite that easy, but its much easier than making a convincing 40mm Bofors or something. Once its painted red, no one will will notice. have a go. Windscreen washer pumps for squirty power. No probs.
