The writers of science fiction and producers of the films seek advice from theoretical scientists on how technology will change in the future.

A case in point is the Star Trek communicator, a wireless device that could contact anyone anywhere.

And now we have mobile phones, wireless devices that can contact anyone almost anywhere.

After a massive repair job to my play room floor and rearrangement of furnishings. New desk and Rocking Chair, curtesy of my mate, Duckie and further aesthetic improvements, curtesy of Lady Joyce, I am back in the land of the living……But…..

Sorry to mention some really bad news though, Lady Joyce had a fall yesterday and gashed her head very badly!

Phoned for the Ambulance…….No ambulances available, and sent a paid for Taxi instead.

To cut a long story short………All is well now and her Ladyship is back home with stitches and a sore head

She was very lucky, it could have been extremely serious

The blood flowed copiously, due to taking blood thinners and sat in the waiting room for many hours

On arrival back home we had to cut her jumper off. with scissors!

Happily, she is feeling ok this morning

Intrigued about your top secret feature, my guess is that if the lights flash in the correct sequence the boat pays out a substantial jackpot.

Being a boat it will qualify as an offshore casino.

The secret feature is flashing lights to dazzle the incoming enemy synchronised with loud disco music from the all-aspect orange speaker, my guess.

The box looked like one of those sturdy ones, but had gone brittle with age and just crumpled

I placed two planks of wood on top, to spread the load, I`ll whip myself with nettles shortly

She is much better now and is having the stitches out tomorrow

I'm now thinking of using Dark Liquid to power my models, those of you who keep up with technology will know that this is the latest scientific 'hot material' and could have infinite possibilities.

Personally I discovered the magical properties of Dark Liquid many years ago when I visited Dublin.

Its a big boat to sail on your own especially lifting it in and out of the water, is Ducky going to help? Obviously in our current situation you will both have to be kitted out in full bio-hazard suits.

As far as I can determine, if we were to all quite accidentally arrive independently at the pond and stand 2m away I can’t see a problem.?

There seems to no limit on “exercise” in a park, and playing with a ball in the park for exercise is surely akin to playing with boats?

Had what will probably be our last days racing on Monday abiding by the max. 6 rule. Committee have now issued new rules on no more than 2.

Lake is on private land, a farm, so no leeway.

Just bought another race boat as well. So, back to building for now.
