Like the windows. Likely that any future warship would have a metallic coating of some sort to minimise the various radiations that all the gear emits, and provide de-misting of course!.

I just had a thought that a light dusting of black along the waterline would make the waterline disappear somewhat and give the boat a "floating" look?

Not keen on the big yellow flag i can see attached to the rear of the boat?

How many more forum members find the centre distance of the motor bracket mounting holes, need to be wider for easy access with a screw driver?

Its true Bob. The mounting holes don`t seemed to be designed to be able to screw the brackets to a bit of wood whilst the motor is attached.

Its very annoying. However, if the screw goes in slightly ski-wif then I don`t consider it the end of the world. As long as the screw fits the mounting hole and is tight, that should be that.

I love those motor. Big, chunky. lovely sound. Great.

Had the same problem with the metal mounts. I have made the hole bigger to help sometimes . I prefer to use the nylon mounts now. Brushless motors being smaller helps when fitting them.

At the moment, I'm fiddling with the sledge stand, to get the model downstairs for a float test in the bath

It is just a cold but coming on top of radio therapy it has knocked me for six, what surprised me the most is that I am constantly tried and napping more than an old dog.

I feel like such a fraud as I have a very dear friend with far worse problems who gets on with life without creating a fuss. I wish his illness was as simple as a cold but it is far, far worse.

Hi Chaps

Made some progress lately, Painted the very handy sledge stand

Moved the cannon from the foredeck and onto the canopy top

Added a few signs of wear and tear etc

Now need to create a spectacular main control tower and a few gun turrets

Having seen the model on the floor for the first time this morning, at approx pond height, it does look unusually large for some reason, I`m not complaining…….Nice model, Paul
