hi guys,

      I have a Taranis TX with 8 channels

      I would like to program in order to have this situation:

      when I turn right at a determined speed motor 1 (dx) reduces speed and Motor 2 (sx) maintains his speed all according to rudder turn

      is it possible ?

      I have two esc of course….

      regards

          Its called "mixing". With a simple set, a hardware mixer is inserted between radio and ESCs to rearrange the throttle response according to the rudder channel. The rudder servo is on a Y lead and responds normally. I expect that an 8 channel set might very well be programmable to do this in the transmitter with the built in software, but that would need some deep reading of the instructions for your particular set.

            YES right,

            my TX is a Taranis FRsKY and it is programmable…..

            I have in imput

            ch01: Rudder

            ch02:Motor 1

            ch03: Motor 2

            first I have to add Curves to my motors to have a real startup and movement

            second I have to mix rudder movement with Motors….this is my troule….

              Max. It all sounds very complicated. Is this something that you HAVE to have or is it just something that you would LIKE| to have?? What would this be intended for. Most craft motor on perfectly well without any sort of complicated control setups.

                are there some instructions with the tx? or is the problem that the instructions incomprehensible? I've seen some that were like reading tealeaves.

                  I've just noticed that there are some reviews and tutorials for taraxis transmitters on youtube` Might be worth a look.

                    hi, guys,

                    I found some "programs" on web regarding Taranis FrSky open tx companion

                    If some one of you has this transmitter knows that it is possible to program it on the mixer page to combine Signals and ….effects

                    may be I found yesterday an initial solution, I will post the file for whom wants to have same effect on his Boat

                    regards

                          Max,

                          I am sure it is possible to achieve the control mode you want with the Taranis transmitter. I did have some limited experience with the system about 2 years ago and, once you have played around with it for a while, it is reasonably logical and straightforward. to programme the required functions. My involvement was with a large model aircraft with 16 channels split between 2 receivers. However while we used the servo range and exponential functions we did not get involved with the mixing functions at the time.

                          Unfortunately I no longer have access to the equipment or the manual we used so I cannot provide you with a step by step guide to achieve what you want. I think, in principle what you need to do is assign two separate ESC channels to the throttle 'stick' and then mix each of those separately with the rudder channel.

                          I think your most probable route to a solution would be if someone on this forum who uses the system could set it up on their transmitter and then provide you with a step by step guide.

                          Another option would be to find someone at a local model boat or aircraft club who would be prepared to explain the process and set up the transmitter for you.

                          A final solution would be to try and experiment yourself, using the information available on the internet. I seem to remember there are some good You tube guides to the transmitter out there on the web. To start with, keep things simple and just set up the transmitter with a single rudder servo and ESC and no mixing. Then try and achieve what you want with just those two channels as a first step.  If you go down this route things become much clearer by seeing the results of your actions on the hardware rather than trying to read a set of instructions and work out what will happen in your head.

                          I found the FRSKY system was very flexible and versatile, but I get the impression it has been developed by geeks for geeks and providing simple clear documentation and instructions is not always high on the geek priority list.

                            How can I do to show you my progresses?

                                this is my Programm to turn using two esc x motor and a Rudder

                                in the image you will see

                                CH0x–> channel

                                timone=Rudder

                                GAS1= motor 1

                                GAS2 = motor 2

                                in CH03 you have Gas 2 and Rudder Mixed

                                you use only the right stick to move forward and backward

                                If you use Rudder to turn right for instance you will see Motor 2 maintain his speed and motor 1 reducing

                                  as you see this is my first attempt to turn using two motors and a Rudder

                                  Rudder=TIMONE

                                  Motor 1=GAS SX

                                  motor 2=GAS DX

                                  TIMO= TGAS DX means the Mixer between GAS and TIMONE

                                  to move forward and back I use right Stick

                                  so I move for instance Forward Ahead 40% speed

                                  Now I would like turn right ,,,,,and I will use the left stick moving the rudder :the GAS SX will increase his speed and GAS DX will maintain his 40% speed

                                  that's all…

                                  Regards

                                  Maurizio
